Following the first-ever coordinated strikes last week when thousands of terminal cleaners, cabin cleaners, skycaps, wheelchair agents, customer service agents, security officers, ramp workers and baggage handlers walked off the job at the seven busiest U.S. hubs, hundreds of airport workers embarked on a 24-hour fast on Tuesday, November 24, to draw attention to the fact that many airport workers often go hungry because they are paid so little they can’t make ends meet.

Thousands of contracted out airport workers from the nation’s seven busiest hubs in New York, Newark, Boston, Philadelphia, Fort Lauderdale and Chicago went out on strike yesterday and their action had impact!
